Juan Pablo Cepeda Basualto, known professionally as Pablo Cepeda, was born on October 30, 1976, in Sweden to Chilean parents and is a singer, composer, and musician who initially gained recognition as a backing vocalist for DJ Méndez, contributing to tracks including “Fiesta”, “Blanca”, “Adrenaline” and “Carnaval”. His breakthrough moment came during his collaboration with DJ Méndez, where he participated in notable events like the Festival de Viña del Mar 2002 and the Melodifestivalen 2002. Pablo Cepeda’s solo career began with a series of EP releases, including Bossa Nova Covers, Vol. 1 (2020), Bossa Nova Covers Vol. 2 (2021), and Bossa Nova Covers Vol. 3 (2022). His discography also includes the Bossa Nova Covers Vol. 4 release (2022) and the full‑length album Bossa Nova Pop Hits (2023). He has released tracks such as “Take You Dancing” (2021), “The Lazy Song” (2022), and “As It Was” (2023). Cepeda has collaborated with prominent artists and has performed at significant events including the Melodifestivalen 2006 and the Swedish television program Allsång på Skansen.
