The Panda Band, an Australian indie pop group from Perth, Western Australia, formed in 2003. They debuted as The Panda Band at the WAMi Weekender in June 2004 and released their first single "Eyelashes" which gained national radio playlists and street press recognition. In September 2004, they released their second single "Sleepy Little Deathtoll Town", which entered the Triple J Hottest 100 of that year at number 73 and was followed by an Australian tour with Little Birdy. The band's debut EP Sleepy Little Deathtoll Town was released in February 2005. They won Most Promising New Act at the 2005 Western Australian Music Industry Awards (WAMi's). Their debut album This Vital Chapter was released in August 2006 and distributed by Filter US Recordings in North America. In July 2011, they released their second studio album Charisma Weapon.
