The Star Spangles, a four‑piece punk group from Manhattan, United States, formed in 1998 with lead vocalist Ian Wilson, lead guitarist Tommy Volume, drummer Joey Valentine, and bassist Nick Price. Their early work appeared on Spain’s Muenster Records in 2000, followed by the single "I Can't Be With You" and the 2003 album Bazooka!!!, which featured the tracks "Which of the Two of Us Is Gonna Burn This House Down?" and "I Live for the Speed". The release reached the UK charts, peaking at number 60 for "I Live for the Speed" and number 98 for "Which of the Two of Us Is Gonna Burn This House Down?". In 2006 a lineup change saw Price depart, and the band signed with Capitol Records before releasing Dirty Bomb in 2007; the album included "Take Care Of Us" and "Revolver". The Star Spangles disbanded in early 2008 but reassembled for live performances in 2015. Throughout their career the group maintained a presence on the US alternative rock scene, with Bazooka!!! and Dirty Bomb contributing to their recognition as a notable American punk act.
