Sinnergod was an English alternative metal and gothic rock band from Wigan, established in 2007. Led by Mark Hampson and Chris Hampson, the band was recognized for its atmospheric, symphonic sound. The group gained early traction with the EPs Two Thousand and Never (2009) and A World in Grey (2012), the latter reaching number 4 on the Amazon.com Rock and Metal MP3 Download Chart. Following the EP Behind Every Corner, they released their debut studio album, Seven Deadly Sinphonies, on 31 October 2013, featuring Tobias Keast and Bill Moseley. Their self-titled sophomore album followed in September 2016, exceeding 100,000 streams and winning an Album of the Year award. The band's performance history includes Bloodstock Open Air and support slots for Blaze Bayley, though a 2014 appearance with Marilyn Manson was cancelled. In October 2022, the group announced a name change to We Are Awakened, coinciding with the single "We Lose Ourselves".
