The Jabbers, an American punk rock band, formed in 1977. The group initially featured GG Allin on vocals and his brother Merle Allin on bass, along with various local guitarists. By 1979, the lineup included bassist Alan Chapple and guitarist Rob Basso, with Chris Lamy joining as a guitarist in 1980 and Michael O'Donnell becoming the drummer in 1983. The Jabbers gained attention for their raw and aggressive performances, recording several notable songs such as "Don't Talk to Me" and "Bored to Death". Their only album with Allin, Always Was, Is and Always Shall Be, was released in 1980. The band disbanded in May 1984. In 2003, Chapple, Lamy, and O'Donnell reformed the group with new singer Wimpy Rutherford and lead guitarist Harlan Miller, releasing American Standard in 2005 on Steel Cage Records.
