Jon Nørgaard was born on October 28, 1985 in Copenhagen. He is a Danish pop and R&B singer who became known as the winner of an early generation of casting shows in Scandinavia. From 2003, Jon Nørgaard begins his professional music career after winning Popstars in Denmark. He does not form a classic band project. He works as a solo artist and moves stylistically between pop, soul and contemporary R&B. International festival appearances or institutional roles are not extensively documented. His debut album This Side Up is released in 2003 and reaches number 1 in the Danish album charts. The singles "Right Here Next to You" and "This Side Up" also reach number 1 in the Danish charts. The album Today Is a Good Day to Fall in Love followed in 2004, reaching the Top 5 in Denmark. The single "Love Is a Game" establishes itself as another radio hit. After a creative break, Jon Nørgaard released the album Jon in 2011, which again reached the charts in Denmark. Ved Siden Af followed in 2013, a Danish-language album that continued his stylistic development. The song Turn the Lights Off, released together with Kato in 2010, only reached the German charts 16 years later due to a video on social media.
