Transmitter is a German electronica group formed in January 2000 in Hannover. Originally evolving from the band Psynostics, the lineup featured Mo Heidrich, Michael Lichtblau, René Laroche, and vocalist Jeff Ogle. After Laroche departed, they completed their first national tour in 2001. They released their debut studio album, Pop Hooligan (2004), which included the single “Westside Criminal”. They followed this success with the album i see red! (2007) and the single “No.1” (2007). In late 2007, Stefan Bielesch joined them as the new drummer. They issued the EP Tripswitcher (2008) and toured with the group Northern Lite in (2009). The group released the studio album Overloader (2010), featuring the single “Never Mess” (2010). Their subsequent recordings include the EP 40.000 Horses (2012) and the studio album Smaschine (2015). They later issued the EPs Session One of Four (2019) and Rules – Session Two of Four (2023).
