Endaf Emlyn

Endaf Emlyn is a Welsh singer-songwriter and film director born on July 31, 1944 in Bangor. Emlyn achieved professional recognition for a musical career that began after he performed as a violinist in the National Youth Orchestra of Wales. He achieved professional recognition for serving as a presenter for Harlech Television in the 1960s. His recording career began with three singles released on the label Parlophone in the early 1970s. Emlyn achieved professional recognition for the debut studio recording Hiraeth (1972) released on the label Wren Records. His discography included the concept recording Salem (1974) and the studio recording Syrffio mewn cariad (1976). Emlyn achieved professional recognition for performing in the ensemble Injaroc and founding the ensemble Jîp in 1980. His recording career included the studio recording Dawnsionara (1981) and the studio recording Deuwedd (2009). Emlyn achieved professional recognition for a career as a director including the movie Stormydd Awst (1988) and the movie Un nos ola' leuad (1991). He achieved professional recognition for the movie Gadael Lenin (1992) receiving the public prize at the London Film Festival in 1993.
