Harlis was a rock band formed in Hannover, Germany in 1974. The group included members from early formations of both Scorpions and Jane. Harlis released their debut self-titled album Harlis in 1976, which was noted for its similarity to the style of Jane but with a lighter sound. Their second and final album, Night Meets the Day, released in 1977, was a concept album set in a seafaring/pirate milieu and featured the instrumental piece "Endless Sea", which included an arrangement of the traditional folk song "Winde wehen, Schiffe gehn". The band disbanded later that year.
