This is Your Captain Speaking is a post-rock band based in Melbourne, Australia. The group initially gained traction with their debut album Storyboard, released independently in May 2005. The album received critical acclaim worldwide and was later re-issued by UK label Resonant Records in Europe in 2006. Following this success, This is Your Captain Speaking toured extensively across Europe and the UK, including performances at Belgium's Rhaaa Lovely Festival alongside notable acts such as Deerhoof and 65daysofstatic. In November 2008, the band released their second album Eternal Return through their own label with digital licensing via Diogenes Music.
