Cetu Javu

Cetu Javu was a German synth-pop band from Hannover, formed in 1984 by Chris Demere and Spanish singer Javier Revilla-Diez. The group gained early traction with live performances and winning third place in a newcomer contest in 1985, which secured them studio time for their first demos. Their debut maxi-single, "Help Me Now!", was released on Demere's own label Deme Records in 1987. The band's breakthrough came with the release of "Situations" in 1988, which reached the top 75 of the US Billboard Charts and became a hit in the USA. Following this success, Cetu Javu released more music, including the EPs Have In Mind (1988) and So Strange (1989), and their debut album Southern Lands (1990). Notable songs include "A Donde", which reached number 2 on the Spanish charts. The band's activities ceased in the mid-1990s, with their final releases on the Spanish label Modermusic.
