Ruoska is a Finnish industrial metal band formed in 2002 in Juva. The group’s original lineup featured vocalist Patrik Mennander, guitarists Anssi Auvinen and Kai Ahvenranta, bassist Mika Kamppi, and drummer Sami Karppinen. They debuted in 2002 with the album Kuori, which included the single "Aurinko Ei Nouse" and music videos for "Epilogi" and "Kiroan." The band further defined their industrial sound with the 2003 release Riisu and then achieved a commercial breakthrough with the 2005 album Radium and its hit single "Tuonen Viemää." They moved to EMI Music, where they released Amortem in 2006, featuring the tracks "Mies Yli Laidan" and "Pure Minua," followed by Rabies in 2008, which was supported by singles like "Pirunkieli" and "Helvettiin Jäätynyt." The ensemble reunited for live performances in 2017 and eventually returned to the studio to release the 2026 album Kade.
