The Color of Violence, an American experimental hardcore band, formed in 2002. Initially known as Skeleton Slaughter vs. Fetus Destroyer, the group featured Travis Richter, Derek Bloom, Matt Good, Joey Antillon, and Chad Crews. After changing their name to The Color of Violence, they released an EP in 2003 and toured briefly before focusing on From First to Last. In late 2006, Richter and Bloom revived The Color of Violence as a two-piece band, eventually signing with Epitaph Records. Their debut album, Youthanize, was released in April 2009, featuring the single "Rock Music", a cover of the Pixies' song. After a period of inactivity, The Color of Violence returned with new music in 2017, releasing the single "Dreadophile" in February 2018 and their EP Cholera Violins in May 2020.
