Deluxe

Formed in 2007 in Aix-en-Provence (Bouches-du-Rhône), Deluxe's music has electro, soul, funk and hip-hop overtones. Following in the footsteps of Chinese Man and Beat Assailiant, Deluxe first made a name for themselves on the live scene. In 2011, the quintet and singer Liliboy released the EP Polishing Pilote. In addition to their music, Deluxe are also known for their logo, with its imposing moustache. This strong visual is featured prominently in the animated clip that illustrates the track "Daniel" (2013). Featured on the EP of the same name, "Daniel" is also Deluxe's first hit. The album The Deluxe Family Show is released on September 16, 2013. The group that penned the soundtrack to the film Les Profs reappeared in 2016 with the album Stachelight, which welcomed singer -M-, the group IAM and singer Nneka. 2019 sees the release of the band's third album, Boys & Girl, featuring collaborations with Oxmo Puccino, Némir and Tumi Molekane. In 2020, the Covid-19 pandemic forces the band to stay at home instead of playing on their favorite stage. Deluxe decided to release the compilation En Confinement, before heading back into the studio for their next album, Moustache Gracias (2022), featuring guest appearances from La Rue Kétanou, Youssoupha and Féfé. His long-awaited return to the stage resulted in the live album Live au Zénith Paris - La Villette, released in 2024. The following year saw the release of Ça Fait Plaisir, featuring tracks such as "Michael", "Oléga" and "Fugue pour saxophone en do mineur", with contributions from Twan Tee, Luizga and Mr. J. Medeiros.
