管野由弘 (Yoshihiro Kanno), born on October 6, 1953, in Tokyo, Japan, is a pianist and composer known for his work in classical music and film music. He graduated from the University of the Arts Tokyo in 1980. His early career saw him composing for various genres, including chamber music and electronic music. In 1984, Kanno composed the score for the film Tenshi no tamago, directed by Mamoru Oshii and Yoshitaka Amano. This collaboration marked a significant breakthrough in his career. Throughout the 1980s and 1990s, he released several notable albums, including "The Four Seasons in Resonance" (1983), 天使のたまご 音楽編 「水に棲む」 (1985), and Resounding Sphere III: Works By Yoshihiro Kanno (1999). His compositions, such as A Mythical Implosion (1995) and "Tapestry I with Voices of Shomyo" (1990), showcased his versatility in blending traditional Japanese instruments with modern classical music.
