Trust Company is an American nu metal group formed in Montgomery, Alabama in 1997 by vocalist and guitarist Kevin Palmer, guitarist James Fukai, bassist Josh Moates, and drummer Jason Singleton. The band began as 41down, releasing independent recordings 41down (1997) and The Lonely Position Of Neutral (1999) before adding Fukai to complete the quartet. Their breakthrough came with the signing to DCide and the release of the EP The Album Is Almost Ready in 2001, followed by a major deal with Geffen Records. The debut studio album The Lonely Position Of Neutral was issued on 23 July 2002, producing singles such as "Downfall" and "Running From Me"; the album achieved Gold certification and entered the Billboard 200. In 2005 the band released True Parallels, which peaked at number 32 on the Billboard 200 and sold approximately 200,000 copies in the United States, featuring the track "The War Is Over". After lineup changes and a brief hiatus, Trust Company returned with the single "Heart In My Hands" and the third album Dreaming In Black and White on 8 March 2011. The group performed touring dates with acts including 30 Seconds To Mars, Papa Roach, Korn, and Disturbed, and in 2023 announced live appearances at the Blue Ridge Rock Festival.
