Obskuria is a Krautrock band formed during the "Trip in Time" festival in Mannheim as a session group. Their music is characterized by a fusion of Space Rock, Krautrock, Psychedelic, and Rock ’n’ Roll elements. The initial lineup consisted of Tom Brehm on guitar, Winnie Rimbach-Sator on keyboard, Carlos Vidal on bass, Enrique de Vinetas on drums, and Xtian Abugattas on effects. Their debut album The Discovery Of Obskuria was released in 2007, featuring a blend of cover versions such as Metallica's "For Whom the Bell Tolls" and mostly improvised original compositions spanning nearly 80 minutes. Their second album, Burning Sea of Green, followed three years later.
