Rapsoul is a German hip-hop group formed in 2005, consisting of rappers Jan Färger and Steve Neumann, along with soul singer CJ Taylor. The trio initially gained attention through remixes for the Frankfurt-based label 3p, including work on Glashaus' single "Du" and Sabrina Setlur's "Baby". Under the moniker Dreckskind & Pechvogel, Färger and Neumann performed together before renaming their act Rapsoul. The name reflected the group’s musical style, blending rap with soulful elements. Rapsoul's breakthrough came in 2005 when they were invited to open for the Backstreet Boys during their European tour. Their debut album Unbeschreiblich was released on March 31, 2006, following the success of their first single "Verzweifelt", which reached number 19 in the German charts. Subsequent singles from the album, including "Gott schenk ihr Flügel" and "Du und ich", also charted in Germany. The group embarked on their first headlining tour in 2006 and participated in the Bundesvision Song Contest 2008 with the song "König der Welt", representing Hessen and placing eighth. Rapsoul released several more EPs and albums, including Achterbahn (2007) and Irgendwann (2009), before disbanding in December 2009 following their final concerts.
