For a Minor Reflection, an Icelandic post-rock band formed in Reykjavik in 2005, initially started as a blues group consisting of Kjartan Holm, Guðfinnur Sveinsson, Elvar Jón Guðmundsson, and Andri Freyr Þorgeirsson. The band's early performances were well-received, leading to comparisons with groups like Explosions in the Sky and Godspeed You! Black Emperor. Their debut album, Reistu þig við, sólin er komin á loft..., was released in 2007 and featured six instrumental tracks recorded over a week. The following year, they supported Sigur Rós on their European tour, which boosted their international recognition. In 2010, For a Minor Reflection released their second album, Höldum í átt að óreiðu, recorded at Sundlaugin studio with producer Scott Hackwith.
