Random Killing is a Canadian punk rock band from Toronto, Montreal, and Oshawa, formed in 1984 by childhood friends who initially jammed together before writing original songs. Their debut release, the EP Take Our Flag (1985), featured a title track video that aired on multiple television channels. They released several albums, including This Whole World (1989) and Thoughts of Aggression (1994). They achieved worldwide distribution through labels like A&M Records and EMI Records. Notable achievements include the animated videos for "12" (1995), a punk rock parody of Sesame Street's counting song, which aired internationally. They performed extensively across Canada and shared stages with notable acts such as D.O.A., Bad Brains, and Dead Kennedys. They released the 12-inch record Bring Out Your Dead (2023) on Cursed Blessings Records.
