Formed in 2003, 90’s style fast punk rock band No Quarter has been kicking along in some form or another for nearly 20 years. After a few line up changes we released our first E.P “No More Guns, No More Blood” in 2005. Houses, marriages, kids and our singer moving to Brisbane saw some space inserted before the release of our 2010 E.P “Lodestar”.
2017 rolled around and we finally got to the release of our first full length “Freedom” on European label Melodic Punk Style. During this process another line up change with friends Paul and Josh from New Sedition joining meant a refreshed hunger to hit the road again. It’s been full on since then with regular shows in NSW, QLD, VIC and W.A that included support slots with Strung Out, No Fun At All, 3 shows on the last Guttermouth tour, Mad Caddies, Off with Their heads and Pears. Plus regular successful QLD tours (yes, our singer still lives there) as well as several other successful shows up and down the east coast of Australia with best mates Friends with the Enemy and local mates Hack the Mainframe and other Aussie acts including The Hard Ons, The Decline, Nerdlinger, Flangipanis, Trashed Again, Serial Killer Dinner Party, The Black Catapult, Blindspot and many more.
Despite the Corona Pandemic we were able to release a 3 song EP called “The Air up There Acoustic EP’ in September 2021. A long requested acoustic version of one of our songs plus a cracking cover of Metallica’s Damage Inc. was the perfect way to come out of isolation.
2022 saw the release of the follow up to Freedom, “Fear and Loathing on the Pacific Highway”. Once again teaming up with Melodic Punk Style, Fear and Loathing was released on CD digipak, vinyl and all digital platforms. Fear and Loathing consists of 13 new songs made up of pummelling fast skatepunk beats, relentless riffs and solos, topped off with soaring choruses and catchy harmonies. An April release date led to successful release shows in Newcastle, Central Coast, Sunshine Coast, Gold Coast, Brisbane, Perth, Bunbury, and Victoria. There is also an upcoming 2023 Japan headline tour.
Influences – Pennywise, Strung-Out, A Wilhelm Scream, Bad Religion, Lagwagon. Basically anything that’s fast, with riffs and melody
