Pampatut, a historical minstrel duo from Germany, was founded in 1996 by Holger Hoffmann and Max von Gluchowe. The duo originated from Sachsen and Thüringen. Hoffmann began his career as a freelance musician after completing his studies in 1985, performing on the bagpipe and later adding the cister to his repertoire, while Von Gluchowe started his career as a minstrel in 1994 at medieval festivals. The duo met in 1996 on the Leuchtenburg in Seitenroda bei Jena and began performing together under the name Pampatut, derived from a medieval court record. Their discography included albums such as Pampatut gut! (2002) and Alleweyl (2005). In 2019, the band expanded to include Till Hecht on saxophone and Phil Inns on drums.
