Polarsets, a four-piece indie and electronic band from Newcastle upon Tyne, England, active between 2009 and 2016. The group initially gained traction with their single "Leave Argentina", released on Bandcamp in early 2010, which earned them national support and an interview with Tom Robinson on BBC Radio 6. Their subsequent single "Morning" became a surprise hit in Colombia. In April 2011, Polarsets released the single "Sunshine Eyes" through Kitsuné Records, which received significant airplay on BBC Radio 1. The band's first EP, Exotica, was released in June 2011, followed by a tour across Europe and performances at notable festivals including Soma Festival in Bogota and South by Southwest (SXSW) in Austin, Texas. In September 2014, Polarsets released their debut album, Parasols. The band's social media accounts became inactive in 2016, marking the end of their active career.
