The Screaming Tribesmen were an Australian rock band formed in Brisbane, Queensland, in 1981 by Mick Medew on lead vocals and lead guitar. They released their debut EP, Screaming Tribesman (1982), in early 1982. By the end of 1983, Medew relocated to Sydney, forming a new line-up. Their first full-length album, Bones and Flowers (1987), featured the singles "I've Got a Feeling" (1987) and "Casualty of Love" (1988). "I've Got a Feeling" reached Number 1 on the KROQ charts in Los Angeles and number 7 on Billboard's Modern Rock chart. They toured the United States and had regular airplay on the College Radio circuit. Their subsequent albums included Blood Lust (1991) and Formaldehyde (1993). They disbanded in 1998 but reformed briefly from 2011 to June 2012 for performances.
