Care Bears on Fire was an American band from Brooklyn, New York. The group originally formed in 2005 under the name Care Bears, featuring a lineup of Sophie Kasakove on vocals and guitar, Lucio Westmoreland as bassist and singer, Michael Kokiko on guitar, August Rosenthal as singer and keyboardist, and Isadora "Izzy" Schappell-Spillman on drums. The group released their debut EP Confuse Me in 2006. Their breakthrough came with a profile in New York magazine in the summer of 2006. After releasing their first full-length album, I Stole Your Animal, on October 2, 2007, following a release party on September 28, they gained critical acclaim. Their song "Everybody Else" was featured in a Converse ad, and its music video aired on Nickelodeon’s TeenNick channel. They also appeared on TV shows including True Jackson, VP and the Late Show with David Letterman. Care Bears on Fire disbanded in 2012.
