Founded in 2011, SputniK! took shape after a few early lineup changes, quickly consolidating a clear and ambitious sonic identity: bringing together the very best of rock in all its forms within a single project. Their music moves through ’60s brit and pop-rock, draws from the atmospheres of ’70s psychedelic and hard rock, and blends with more contemporary sounds.
At the core of the project lies a precise philosophy: drawing inspiration from the many subgenres of rock and reshaping them into a personal signature, transforming influences and experiences into original songs that speak with authenticity.
After an intense two-year period of live activity — essential in strengthening their cohesion and stage presence — the band began working on their debut album in 2013, collaborating with Armando Cacciato and the Canicattì-based label Circuiti Sonori. Their first record, Jodalimpa, released on November 28, 2017, is the result of a long journey of research and synthesis: each member contributes their own musical background, yet the true binding force remains their artistic and human connection — a fraternal bond reflected in every track.
Passion, instinct, and experimentation are today the pillars of SputniK!’s music — a band that continues to grow alongside its art, driven by a clear goal: giving listeners one more reason to love rock.
