Scott Storch

Accomplished rap producer and talented keyboard player Scott Storch was born December 16, 1973. Though he was born in New York, he spent time in Florida, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey as he was growing up. He was the original keyboard player in The Roots, contributing to their early albums, breaking from the group in order to pursue a solo career as a producer. He established himself in that capacity in the early 2000s on standout tracks like Dr. Dre’s “Still D.R.E.” and Terror Squad’s “Lean Back”, a number one smash on both the pop and R&B charts. He quickly became a sought after collaborator by some of the biggest names in music including 50 Cent, Beyoncé, Pink, and Christina Aguilera. After a numerous addiction, legal, and financial issues, Storch declared bankruptcy in 2015. In 2020 he launched a comeback taking his first ever credit as a lead artist on the single “Fuego Del Calor”, a reggaeton inflected hip-hop track that featured Ozuna and Tyga.
