Mich Hedin Hansen, known professionally as Cutfather, is a Danish music producer, songwriter, and DJ born on April 9, 1968, in Holbæk. Hansen established a musical career in 1989, specializing in pop, R&B, and hip hop. In 1990, he co-founded Soulpower Productions with Carsten Schack. Hansen’s recording career featured the 1996 remix of “Return of the Mack” by Mark Morrison. He co-wrote and produced the song “Superstar” (2002), which received an Ivor Novello Award for Best Performing Song in 2004. As part of the production teams Soulshock & Cutfather and Cutfather & Joe, Hansen collaborated with performers including Kylie Minogue, Westlife, and Peter Andre. In 2015, the career featured the production of the song “Up” by Olly Murs. Hansen also served as a judge for the Danish television program The X Factor between 2010 and 2012.
