Raven Black Night, an epic doom heavy metal band from Adelaide, Australia, was founded in 1999 by guitarist and singer Jim "The White Knight" Petkoff and guitarist Rino "The Raven" Amoriono. Their first demo was released in 2000, followed by extensive touring across Australia. In December 2005, the band released their debut album Choose the Dark. Notable lineup changes occurred throughout the years. Raven Black Night signed with Metal Blade Records in May 2012 and released their second studio album Barbarian Winter in 2013.
