The Unband, an American hard rock band, was formed in late 1987 in Boston, Massachusetts, by Matthew Pierce and Michael Ruffino. The group initially played under various names before solidifying its lineup with drummer Eugene Ferrari. In 1990, Mink Rockmoore joined as the lead guitarist but left a year later. The Unband's first significant release was Chung Wayne Lo Mein, released in January 1994 on Chunk Records. They gained notoriety for their controversial performance at Northampton’s Bay State Hotel in 1994, which resulted in a ban from the venue due to on-stage nudity. Notable tracks include "Everybody Wants You", featured in the film Scary Movie, and "Geez Louise" and "Pink Slip", included in Super Troopers. The band toured extensively with acts such as Motörhead, Def Leppard, and Anthrax.
