Born in Medellín, Daniel Calderón has vallenato in his blood. Since he was 5 years old, he demonstrated his passion for music, interpreting with ease and feeling the songs that marked the vallenato genre.
Heir to the talent of his father, the renowned composer and producer Iván Calderón, founder of Los Gigantes del Vallenato, Daniel took the baton and became the voice and the heart of the group, giving a fresh and modern air to the romantic vallenato.
With more than 20 years of career, he has been able to break barriers, fusing the essence of vallenato with current sounds, conquering audiences in Colombia and the world. Hits such as Infiel, Amantes, Aventura, Yo Te Vi, Vivo Por Ti and Quién Eres Tú have become anthems that continue to be heard by all generations.
In 2025, Daniel is experiencing one of the most important moments of his career with the release of his most ambitious album: Conexión, an album of 15 unreleased songs with which he seeks to connect deeply with his longtime fans and with the new generations that vibrate with vallenato.
