The Marbles were a British rock duo consisting of Graham Bonnet and Trevor Gordon, who formed in 1968. The cousins, born in Skegness, Lincolnshire, England, began their musical journey with the release of their debut single "Only One Woman" in August 1968. This track reached number 5 on the UK Singles Chart that November, marking a significant breakthrough for the duo. The Marbles signed with Robert Stigwood and released several notable singles, including "The Walls Fell Down", which peaked at number 3 in the Netherlands' Top 40 in April 1969. They collaborated closely with the Bee Gees, who wrote six songs for them and provided backing vocals. Despite their early success, the duo disbanded in 1969. Their only self-titled album was released posthumously in August 1970 by Cotillion Records in the United States. After the split, Bonnet pursued a solo career and later became the lead singer with Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow from 1979 to 1980. Gordon released one solo album titled Alphabet and later became a music teacher before his death in London in 2013.
