Hallelujah Picassos, a genre-blending band from Auckland, New Zealand, formed in 1988 as The Rattlesnakes. They released their first official single, "No More", on Pagan Records in 1991. They followed this with the album Hateman In Love in 1992 under the Wildside label, along with the EP Lovers Plus. Known for their eclectic mix of rap, ska, thrash, jazz, reggae, and pop, the band supported major acts such as Screamin' Jay Hawkins and Soundgarden, and played at the Big Day Out festival in 1995. They released Drinking With Judas in 1993. The band officially broke up in 1996 following the departure of Johnnie Pain and Peter McLennan. Their drummer, Bobbylon, died on May 25, 2018.
