Ginger Reyes, born on April 22, 1977 in Chicago, Illinois, is an American musician who has also released solo music under the stage name Ginger Sling. She began playing in high school bands, joining the Christian ska group the Israelites before moving to Los Angeles, where she studied history at UCLA. Ginger Sling released the Laguna Beach Demos EP on Pineapple Heart Records in 2005. She joined the Smashing Pumpkins as bassist in 2007, contributing to the recordings "Tarantula", "That’s the Way (My Love Is)" and "G.L.O.W." and touring until 2010, when she departed to focus on family. She has also played bass for Gwen Stefani and Lea Michele and Garbage.
