Tantric, an American rock band from Louisville, Kentucky, was formed in 1998 by Todd Whitener, Jesse Vest, and Matt Taul. The group initially trained under the name C-14 before changing to Tantric. In 1999, they recruited Hugo Ferreira as their lead vocalist. Their debut album, Tantric, released in 2001, featured singles "Breakdown", "Astounded" and "Mourning". The album peaked at Number 71 on the Billboard 200 and was certified gold by November 2001. Their second album, After We Go, released in 2004, debuted at Number 56 on the Billboard 200. The band's third studio album, The End Begins, was released in 2008, followed by an EP, Broken Down...Live And Acoustic In The Poconos in July of the same year. Their fourth and fifth albums, Mind Control and 37 Channels, were released in 2009 and 2013, respectively. The Sum of All Things came in 2021.
