Tanner Sparks is an American audio engineer, record producer, and musician born on January 9, 1988, in La Mesa, California. He performs across genres including post-hardcore, alternative rock, and metal. Sparks began his career as the bassist for the band Destroy the Runner, performing on the studio album I, Lucifer (2008). He subsequently served as a guitarist for the groups Chapter 14 and A Veil. His recording credits include the Chapter 14 EP Like Trees in November (2010) and the A Veil album The Great Magician. Sparks transitioned into technical roles as an audio and mix engineer, working with various artists including the band Switchfoot. He is recognized for his work as a songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, performing on guitar, bass, and drums.
