Painted in Exile, an American progressive metal band from Long Island, New York, was formed in 2007. The band initially gained traction with their debut EP, Revitalized, released in 2009. Known for blending progressive metal elements with mathcore, technical death metal, jazz, and hip hop, Painted in Exile continued to evolve musically. Their first studio album, The Ordeal, was released in 2016. The band's lineup saw several changes over the years, including notable members such as Robert Richards on vocals. Despite these shifts, Painted in Exile maintained a consistent output of music, releasing singles like "DM" in 2014 and videos for songs such as "House Of Cards" (2016) and "Revitalized" (2010). The band's discography also includes the demo 3.14, released in 2008.
