Subtruck was an Australian heavy groove rock band formed in 1998 in Perth. The group consisted of Phil Bradley on vocals and guitar, Kris Goodwin on drums, and Robert Troup on bass. They released their debut EP Subtruck in 1999 before signing to Sic Squared Records in 2001. Their first album for the label, Songs to Whistle at War, was released in 2002. In 2003, Subtruck supported The Mark of Cain and Lime Spiders on their respective national tours. Their second album Ballbaring was released in 2004 and received critical acclaim, including a nomination for 'Best Heavy Rock Act' at the 2004 WAMi Awards. The band toured nationally twice in 2005 and were again nominated for 'Best Heavy Rock Act' at that year's WAMi Awards. Their last album Pig Iron was released on 2006. After disbanding in 2007, Phil Bradley and Robert Troup formed BRUTUS with Jake Bradley in 2008.
