Katsuhiko Nakagawa was born on 20 July 1962 in Tokyo, Japan, and pursued a dual career as an actor and musician. His early acting roles in films such as Narawareta Gakuen (1981) and Tenkōsei (1982) established his presence in Japanese cinema before he turned to music. Nakagawa debuted as a singer with the single and album "Shite Mitai" on 22 February 1984, released through Warner Pioneer, marking his entry into the rock scene. He followed this with the studio albums LOVER PEOPLE (21 September 1988) and HUMAN RHYTHM (21 August 1989), both of which contributed to his growing reputation. In 1992, he faced a diagnosis of acute myeloid leukemia, yet he returned to the stage and recording circuit, releasing additional singles and albums until his untimely death on 17 September 1994.
