Flipron, an English psychedelic pop band from Glastonbury, England, was formed in 1999 by Jesse Budd, Joe Atkinson, Mike Chitty, and Tom Granville. They signed with Tiny Dog Records and released their debut album Fancy Blues and Rustique Novelties in 2004, which received critical acclaim. In 2006, Flipron released their second album, Biscuits for Cerberus, followed by Gravity Calling in 2008, produced by Rat Scabies. The band embarked on a US tour in 2010 and released the ska-influenced single "The Coolest Names in Showbiz". Their fourth album, Firework Shoes, was released in 2012, featuring the single "The Comet Returns" with Neville Staple. Flipron also performed at festivals such as Chagstock and Glastonbury.
