Jean-Baptiste Dupont, born in 1979 in Muret, France, is a distinguished organist known for his international career as both an interpreter and improviser. He began his musical journey under the tutelage of notable figures such as Michel Bouvard, Jan-Willem Jansen, Louis Robilliard, Philippe Lefebvre, and Thérèse Dussaut. Dupont's breakthrough came with his participation in various prestigious competitions, including winning the first prize for improvisation at the International Organ Festival of St Albans in July 2009. He released several albums, notably the comprehensive Intégrale de l'œuvre pour orgue de Max Reger series, which spans multiple volumes and was recorded with Éditions Hortus. In April 2012, Dupont was appointed as the organist titular of the grand organs at the Cathedral Saint-André de Bordeaux. He co-founded the association Cathedra in Bordeaux in 2015, further solidifying his contributions to the classical music scene.
