Hey there, I'm Andrew Flynn, a proud queer music artist whose melodies echo the drama of my stage-performing youth. By day, I'm delving into minds as a psychotherapist, and by night, I'm crafting emotional rollercoasters through my lyrics.
Originally hailing from Billingham, I now call Seaton Carew home, turning my humble roots and 80s kid woes into a creative goldmine. My music takes you on a dark, deep journey through love and loss, infused with 80s/90s vibes and a modern twist, heavily influenced by legends like Erasure and George Michael.
Growing up gay in the 80s wasn't a walk in the park, but for me, it became the muse behind my tunes. Embracing the past, I spin it into heartfelt melodies, transforming shame into strength, one lyric at a time.
In September 2023, I released my debut single, "About Love?"—a story of a broken-hearted 17-year-old. It's deep, sad, and intensely personal, offering a raw glimpse into my own teenage heartbreak.
Following the success of my debut, I unveiled "Narcissist" in November 2023—a cathartic voyage into the complexities of relationships. Dark, deep, and unapologetically authentic, "Narcissist" leaves an indelible mark on the music landscape.
And now, I present my latest single, "True Love Is Inside You." Released from my perspective today, I want to share, "I wrote this song as a reminder to remember that when you feel love for friends, family, and intimate partners, those emotions of love are being generated by you and from inside of you, meaning love is always accessible as it is self-generated... deep, but when I discovered this for myself, I could simply imagine a moment in time with someone I felt deep love for, and I would immediately feel love again. It really is a wonderful thing."
