Norihiro Tsuru (都留教博) is a Japanese violinist and composer. He began his career with the release of his first album 月をつくった男 in 1989. Tsuru gained prominence through his compositions for anime series, notably The Heroic Legend of Arslan, Mermaid's Forest, and Mermaid's Scar. In 1990, he formed the acoustic group Acoustic Cafe with cellist Ayako and pianist Rie Nishimoto. Under Acoustic Cafe, they released albums such as For Your Loneliness in 2001 and For Your Memories in 2003. Tsuru's notable standalone piece is "Last Carnival", a work for violin, cello, and piano.
