Casey grew up in the Blue Ridge Mountain region of Northern Virginia and in a small rural town in Upstate NY as a son of a baptist minister. He grew up listening to Gospel, Christian music, Country and Irish Music. Aged ten he started to play the piano. Casey studied music, piano and organ in Lynchburg Virginia and at the prestigious Setnor School of Music at Syracuse University (NY). Casey's main influences are George Winston, Billy Joel and Herbie Hancock. Having worked as session and tour pianist for many different bands, musicians and artists from all genres, Casey is known as versatile performer. Between New Age, Rural Folk Piano, Jazz, Blues, Gospel, Classical and Irish Music, Casey developped his own style which is hard to describe: reviewers use the words "magical", "mystical" or "melancholic" to describe his music and that Casey would tell stories at the piano. Behind every song is an emotion, behind every emotion a memory and behind every memory a story.
