Anatol Ştefăneţ, born on January 23, 1956, in Grinăuți, is a Moldovan viola player. He discovered the bratsch (violin alto) towards the end of his studies and joined the prestigious orchestra Lăutari. Ştefăneţ quickly recognized the instrument's warm, voice-like sonority, becoming a notable figure in Moldova and Romania. His discography included albums such as Moldavie: L'art Du Bratsch (Alto) = Moldavia: The Art of Bratsch (Viola) (1994) and Bratsch (1998).
