Fahrenheit 43, an Australian pop-rock band from Melbourne, was formed in 2008 when lead singer Richard James met guitarist Gemma May Alpert. The duo began performing as an acoustic act and gained early recognition by showcasing at the L'Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival in 2009. Their debut EP, The 6 Degrees EP, released in 2009, received critical acclaim. The band's breakthrough came in March 2010 when they won Nova Radio's 'I Am With The Band' Competition. In 2013, the band released Underneath the Overturned, which features the singles "The Reason", an exclusive demo track that garnered international attention, "Freedom for the Fallen", and "Kaleidoscope".
