Green Zone is a South Korean pop‑rock duo produced in 1994 by Kim Byeong‑ryong with two singers Kwon Seon-gook and Kwak Chang‑seon. The pair debuted with the single "Love Will Be" on 1 November 1994, and their first studio album, Green Zone, followed on 1 November 1994. The early releases Green Zone Vol. II (1 October 1995) and Green Zone Vol. III (8 January 1997) established the duo’s presence in the Korean pop market. In 1998, Green Zone Vol. IV was released, featuring the hit "It Wasn't Late", which climbed to the top of the KBS “Gayo Top Ten” charts in early 1999. The duo’s most commercially successful album, Again… Green Zone, dropped on 24 April 2003 and produced the chart‑topping single "Ready To Go" that dominated KMTV’s Show Music Tank for two consecutive weeks. After a brief disbandment in January 2006, Green Zone re‑united in January 2009 and released The Seventh Diary on 21 October 2009, which earned the duo a nomination for Best Group at the 2010 Korean Music Awards. The group remained active until their final disbandment in 2017.
