After an initial collaboration with Yann Tiersen, who produced his album 13m2 in 2006, David Delabrosse released a second album, Le son de l’hallali, in 2011. In these two critically acclaimed albums, he affirms his desire to find the right words to explore the intimacy of human relationships.
After releasing a third album in 2020 and a break dedicated to young audiences with his character Ego Le Cachalot (more than 25,000 records sold and 500 concerts throughout France), David Delabrosse has just finished recording his new album, Les mots modernes, expected for early 2026. By drawing a parallel between the crisis of his mid-life and the unprecedented one humanity is going through today, the Rennes-based musician questions the scope of action that narrows once this symbolic barrier is crossed.
This new album marks a turning point in David Delabrosse career, notably thanks to his collaboration with multi-instrumentalist Denis Piednoir (Clio, Bruno Putzulu, etc.), who creates a modern pop production with finely crafted arrangements. This decisive encounter took place during the famous Rencontres d'Astaffort, initiated by Francis Cabrel.
