Mbenzu Ngamboni Bokili, known as Bozi Boziana, was born on September 28, 1951, in Congo. He is a singer, songwriter, and bandleader. He began his career with Air Marine before joining Zaiko Langa Langa in 1974, where he collaborated with Papa Wemba and Evoloko Jocker. In 1975, Bozi Boziana left to form Isifi Lokole, which led to the creation of Yoka Lokole in 1976. He then joined Choc Stars in 1982, recording notable songs like "Sandu Kotti" and "Alena". In November 1985, he founded Orchestre Anti-Choc, becoming one of Congo's major soukous bands. Bozi Boziana's album "Bana Saint-Gabriel" with L'Orchestre Anti-Choc and Avec Evoloko Joker, won the Kora All-African Award for the best album in Central Africa in 1998.
