Dominique Lucien Gaumont, born on January 8, 1953, in Saint-Mandé, Île-de-France, was a French jazz guitarist. He began performing publicly in 1970 and gained significant recognition in 1974 when Miles Davis invited him for a U.S. tour, including a performance at Carnegie Hall, New York. Gaumont contributed to two albums by Miles Davis: Get Up with It (1974) and Dark Magus (1977). Returning to Paris in 1975, he formed his own group, Dominique Gaumont Energy. Tragically, Gaumont died on November 11, 1983. Posthumously, his work was released in the album Energy (2004) and its LP version in 2021.
